Position Overview
The Chief of Staff supporting the Chief Product Officer (CPO) acts as a pivotal strategic and operational leader ensuring the Product division runs efficiently remains coordinated across teams and fulfills its strategic goals. This individual functions as the operational core of the Product team, collaborating intensively with leaders across Product, Engineering, Data & Analytics, Operations, and Executive management to drive planning execution governance communication and cross-departmental initiatives.
Key Duties
- Translate the CPO’s strategic priorities into concrete execution plans and maintain updated annual quarterly and monthly operational plans for the Product group.
- Develop and oversee product roadmaps strategic projects and overall organizational priorities while monitoring progress and identifying possible risks.
- Hold Product leadership accountable for timely delivery of commitments.
- Create and sustain integrated project timelines for all product efforts coordinating efforts among Product Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Clinical, Network, Operations, and Commercial teams.
- Lead program management for major product launches establishing governance and resolving obstacles promptly managing inter-team dependencies.
- Help define and implement best practices for Product Management processes including planning cycles roadmap reviews prioritization and standardized operational rhythms.
- Improve transparency of product delivery and performance via dashboards and executive reports promoting ongoing process enhancements.
- Provide dedicated executive support to the CPO by preparing presentations board materials coordinating communications managing leadership meetings conducting strategic analysis researching market trends competitors technologies managing follow-ups and representing the CPO when needed.
- Collaborate closely across multiple departments including Product Management Data & Analytics Clinical Operations Finance Sales Client Success Marketing IT and Executive Leadership to align initiatives priorities timelines and outputs.
- Establish KPIs and monitor performance metrics ensuring adherence to strategic objectives identifying execution improvements and supporting resource management.
- Develop clear executive communications facilitate companywide updates quarterly planning and meetings ensuring transparency and change management.
- Lead significant strategic projects such as new product launches organizational transformations AI and automation programs product process optimization and other executive initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Engineering Computer Science or related discipline.
- 7 to 10+ years’ experience in roles such as Product Management Strategy Consulting Program Management Product Operations or as a Chief of Staff.
- Proven experience working alongside senior executives with strong project and program management skills.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities coupled with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and advanced expertise in presentation creation (PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with capacity to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in healthcare technology workers' compensation insurance or SaaS domains.
- Familiarity with Agile product management and AI-driven product development.
- Background in leading cross-functional transformation efforts.
