Role summary

The organization is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to provide senior-level financial leadership and help shape the company’s next stage of growth. The role is focused on using finance as a driver of expansion, making disciplined investment decisions, supporting profitable scaling, and increasing long-term value for both the team and investors.

What you will own

• Lead capital allocation decisions and build the internal and external case for the investments that deserve priority.
• Give the leadership team the financial clarity needed to invest confidently while maintaining profitable growth discipline.
• Strengthen the company’s long-term value and improve liquidity opportunities for both employees and investors.
• Act as the company’s financial representative to investors, partners, banks, and auditors.
• Design, hire, and guide a lean finance team that uses AI effectively across the international group.
• Establish finance as a trusted business partner and set a high standard for how the function operates company-wide.

Working environment

This is a remote-only position in a distributed organization. The company expects strong daily overlap with both EMEA and US Eastern time zones. The role reports to the CEO.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a CFO or equivalent senior finance leader who has managed finance at meaningful scale and created lasting shareholder value.
• Strong background in international operations with multiple entities and currencies.
• Solid understanding of cross-border tax and compliance matters, including US indirect tax.
• A recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or a locally accredited CPA, along with deep FP&A and financial modeling experience.
• Clear communicator with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and independence in a fast-paced remote setting.

Preferred experience

• Experience in SaaS-enabled marketplaces, including forecasting both transaction-based GBV and recurring revenue.
• Background in travel, hospitality, or proptech businesses.
• Experience building a finance function from a founder-led setup into an institutional-grade team.

The company can hire internationally through contractor arrangements, or as employees if you are based in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, or Australia, with payroll taxes considered when determining gross pay.
• Equity through $HOST token RSUs, with a grant valued at US$436,800 vesting over four years, which works out to about US$109,200 per year.
