Chief Financial Officer

Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer for a private equity-backed transportation and logistics company based in Central Florida. This high-impact position offers the chance to join at ground level and play a pivotal role in driving operational improvements, organic expansion, and targeted mergers and acquisitions to support significant company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance leader and trusted partner to the CEO.
• Develop and expand the finance team and establish robust financial frameworks and infrastructure.
• Lead the implementation of financial systems and promote process enhancements across finance and reporting functions.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Create private equity-standard reporting, forecasting documents, and materials for board-level discussions.
• Support merger and acquisition efforts, including execution and integration tasks.
• Scale the finance organization progressively as the company grows.

Candidate Requirements

• Substantial experience in private equity-backed companies; candidates may be current CFOs or senior finance executives ready to assume a CFO role.
• Background in transportation, logistics, supply chain, distribution, or related commercial/industrial sectors.
• Strong expertise in cash flow management, forecasting, and operational finance responsibilities.
• Proven success in deploying financial systems, processes, and reporting structures.
• Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions, including quality of earnings assessments, transaction integration, or related activities is preferred.
• Hands-on leadership style, eager to engage deeply in building the finance function alongside the business.
• A growth-focused mindset, comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial atmosphere.
• Role requires full-time on-site presence in Central Florida with no options for remote work or commuting.
