Job description
Position Overview
The Director of Marketing at Delta Light Group North America leads marketing efforts for all brands under the company umbrella including Delta Light, LF Illumination, Delray, and VLT. This position entails directing brand strategies, managing large marketing projects, budgeting, leading the marketing team, and coordinating with sales, product development, executive leadership, and the Belgium office. The role focuses on adapting global brand strategies to the North American market, overseeing digital marketing, trade show participation, product marketing, training, and sales support within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and steward the marketing strategy for North America across all brands to align with corporate goals.
- Act as a marketing strategist collaborating with executive, sales, and product teams to drive growth and brand uniformity.
- Design and execute strategic marketing plans supporting company objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, finance, and product teams for consistent brand execution.
- Lead significant marketing initiatives including product launches, collateral updates, trade shows, campaigns, websites, regional activations, and customer marketing projects.
- Define project scopes, timelines, milestones, roles, communication plans, and success metrics.
- Coordinate internal and external resources including agencies, creative teams, and sales to ensure quality and accountability.
- Streamline complex initiatives by prioritizing tasks, resolving blockers, and ensuring diligent follow-through.
- Manage and track marketing budgets, assigning funds strategically across projects, digital marketing, events, agencies, and training.
- Analyze expenditures vs. business priorities and ROI to manage spending effectively.
- Oversee all digital marketing channels including websites, email, CRM, and social media, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
- Collaborate with content creators and developers to optimize digital campaign performance using data and feedback.
- Plan and manage brand participation in trade shows, industry events, showroom activations, and other exposures with aligned standards.
- Lead presence and strategic planning for various industry events and provide on-site support as necessary.
- Create sales presentations, onboarding materials, and product collateral to support product specification and ease of use.
- Liaise with product management and technical marketing to meet the specific demands of the North American market for launches and updates.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, set priorities, manage workload, and foster professional growth.
- Ensure all marketing programs deliver quality, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards.
- Collect and communicate market insights and performance data to inform product and marketing strategy improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of growing experience in marketing, preferably in architectural lighting, design, interiors, architecture, manufacturing, luxury products, or other related specification-driven industries.
- Proven experience managing marketing strategies, budgets, large initiatives, team leadership, and cross-department collaboration.
- Background working with sales, product, executive leadership, and global headquarters teams.
- International or global marketing experience is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong strategic marketing leadership aligning brand, product, sales, customer, and business needs.
- Expertise with digital marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, social media tools, CMS, CRM systems, and project management software like Monday.com.
- Highly skilled in budget oversight, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and prioritization.
- Effective written, verbal, and executive-level presentation communication.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Experienced coaching and managing team members for quality results and deadline adherence.
- Comfortable representing the brand in executive meetings, client interactions, and industry events.
Travel Expectations
Travel up to 10% is required to attend trade shows, industry events, regional sales activities, training sessions, client visits in key markets, and collaboration with global headquarters as necessary.

Compensation & Locations
The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 annually. Positions are based in Miami, FL, Denver, CO, or Chatsworth, CA.
