Role Overview
Join the Hospitality and Events Team at the Australian Turf Club during the vibrant Spring Carnival season, assisting with behind-the-scenes beverage operations to support front-of-house staff in delivering excellent service at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens racecourses.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in beverage setup and preparation for racing carnivals and social events throughout the year.
- Ensure timely availability of beverage supplies to front-of-house teams.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with efficiency and teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Quick learner with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills combined with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to undertake various tasks across different sections.
- Maintain high grooming and presentation standards.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in bar setup, event hospitality, stock management, post mix and beer line equipment knowledge, and a current forklift license.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Work Conditions and Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay with a minimum shift length of four hours and included paid meal breaks.
- Complimentary meals provided during breaks.
- Flexible scheduling with the option to accept or decline shifts; rosters published up to six weeks in advance.
- Shifts available any day from Monday to Sunday, with ongoing opportunities throughout the year.
- Accessible locations with onsite parking and free public transport on Spring Carnival race days.
Spring Carnival Availability
Applicants should be available for at least five of the designated race days starting in August through November at Royal Randwick and Rosehill Gardens venues. Specific dates include:
