Job Overview

As a Caregiver based in our Palmerston North village, you will be a vital member of a team focused on ensuring the safety, health, and enjoyment of daily life for our residents. Your role will involve providing personal and practical support tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and support residents during mealtimes.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including showering.
• Support residents by helping them follow their individual care plans, such as encouraging walks and exercises.
• Participate in recreational activities with residents, including puzzles and table tennis.

Work Schedule

This is a permanent full-time position with a rotating roster pattern of four days on and two days off. Shifts will include mornings, afternoons, and nights, with a workload ranging from 60 to 80 hours over a two-week period.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in aged care or a comparable caregiving role.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to foster meaningful relationships.
• Willingness to work across a rotating schedule including mornings, afternoons, and nights.
• Capability to maintain the 4-on, 2-off shift pattern effectively.
