About the Organisation
OCBC is Singapore’s most established bank, serving individuals and businesses since 1932. The organisation focuses on understanding customer needs and delivering services, solutions, and career opportunities that help people and businesses progress.
The bank is currently undergoing transformation, using technology and creativity to build a future-ready learning culture. Its long-term goal is to be Asia’s preferred financial services partner for a sustainable future.
This role offers the chance to contribute to that journey by helping shape the future of banking, working with supportive teams, and creating value for customers and the community.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst for Global Markets will work closely with teams across the organisation to support strategic objectives and deliver business outcomes. The position sits within a fast-evolving environment spanning financial markets and technology-driven change.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across different levels to understand business priorities and help turn strategic goals into practical outcomes.
- Support and contribute to Global Markets initiatives across FX, FX derivatives, securities, structured products, digital assets, and crypto.
- Handle end-to-end project work, including requirement analysis, functional documentation, user stories, testing, and production rollout in both SDLC and Agile/Scrum settings.
- Assess business needs in depth and recommend solutions, including scope definition along with high-level cost and benefit thinking for major initiatives.
- Review existing business processes, identify future requirements, and propose effective and innovative improvements.
- Keep track of changes in financial markets and technology trends, and use that awareness to spot new opportunities.
- Serve as a bridge between business users and technology teams to ensure alignment and smooth delivery.
Experience and Requirements
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of treasury products and trade lifecycles, along with a solid understanding of the Global Markets function in a banking environment.
- Experience in financial markets, treasury, wealth management, or another closely related domain.
- Proven learning agility and the ability to move across different products, functions, and business areas.
- Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders, document them clearly, and prepare functional specification documents.
- Comfort working independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Hands-on Murex experience is advantageous.
- Exposure to electronic FX pricing and execution, derivatives pricing, digital assets, or crypto will be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with cross-functional teams at various seniority levels.
Qualifications
A university degree or postgraduate qualification is preferred, especially in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

The role comes with a competitive base salary and a range of flexible benefits designed to suit different lifestyles. The organisation also supports community initiatives and offers strong learning and professional development opportunities.
Employee wellbeing, growth, and career aspirations are treated with the same care and attention as customer needs.
