Job Responsibilities

  • Assess credit applications, ratings, and transaction approvals for large corporate clients across the bank's global operations.
  • Make credit decisions and approvals on proposals, reviews, and exceptions within authorized lending limits.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure credit transactions align with credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk appetite.
  • Maintain vigilant oversight of assigned portfolios by monitoring industry trends and client developments, identifying early warning signs, and recommending timely credit risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct targeted portfolio reviews following developments that could negatively impact credit quality and develop action plans to address identified risks.
  • Lead thought leadership efforts and provide risk guidance for emerging business initiatives, contributing to the development of credit and policy frameworks, and participate in projects to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support, coach, and mentor Relationship Managers and team members to foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.

Candidate Qualifications

  • University degree with minimum 10 years' experience managing portfolios of large corporate clients in banking.
  • Strong expertise in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and their effects on various industries.
  • Excellent credit risk assessment and analytical capabilities, able to operate autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of loan documentation and credit processes.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating and defending credit decisions to business partners and senior leadership.
