About the Role
The Global Market Division (GMD) at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank Singapore comprises 12 specialized desks including FI Sales, Corporate Sales, Credit Sales, EM Trading, Treasury, Structured Equity Transactions, Non-Linear Trading and Quant, Global Repo & Indexing, Solutions Sales, Structuring Desk, and Credit Trading.
The selected candidate will join one of the Global Markets Sales teams based in Singapore, working closely with Senior Sales professionals to assist in client service and marketing functions. Reporting to the Head of Sales Department, this role offers hands-on exposure to global markets and insight into how major clients manage FX and Interest Rate risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Sales in pre-trade activities such as conducting trade simulations, preparing internal approval memos, and reviewing transactional and project documents.
- Support the Sales team during trade execution and client interactions, including sending daily market indications, delivering market insights, trade booking, and execution duties.
- Develop marketing materials for internal and external presentations, including management reports and client pitches, and assist with trade execution and post-trade activities.
- Maintain and utilize business models, spreadsheets, and related software to facilitate daily operations and analyze potential transactions.
- Gain familiarity with global capital markets, various financial instruments, and structured products offered by the bank.
- Become proficient in industry booking and pricing systems, along with market and product knowledge to perform tasks independently.
Compliance and Regulatory Duties
- Adhere strictly to all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements, including adherence to the Singapore Compliance manual, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with Financial Security obligations to prevent financial crimes and fraud, reporting to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer as necessary.
- Observe local regulatory ratios relevant to role functions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge to ensure capability in the role and complete mandatory training programs to retain competence standards.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in Quantitative Social Sciences, Accounting, Business, Finance, or Law.
- Between 1 to 2 years of full-time professional experience.
- Prior exposure to financial market products is advantageous, such as experiences in financial markets, wholesale banking, consulting, or legal fields.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Strong attention to detail combined with analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, handle stress effectively, and collaborate well internally.
- Self-motivated with a diligent work ethic, positive attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other standard PC applications.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
