Role Overview
The Assistant Manager - Commercial for Domestic Sales is responsible for ensuring precise monitoring and reporting of collections, prompt follow-up on overdue payments, customer account reconciliations, adherence to statutory regulations, and effective coordination with both internal teams and external parties across the East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receivables including daily posting of collection entries and ensuring payments are cleared on time.
- Compile daily reports on overdue payments, collections, and sales for accurate monitoring.
- Provide invoice copies to Key Account Managers promptly.
- Ensure timely confirmation of balances and perform thorough reconciliations of customer accounts.
- Handle issuance and documentation of debit and credit notes for customers.
- Supply customers with necessary credit/debit note copies as requested and address any issues related to pending credit notes.
- Prepare documentation required for processing customer refunds.
- Maintain compliance and internal controls by ensuring proper adherence to TDS regulations including timely procurement of TDS certificates and accurate accounting.
- Verify, organize, and keep updated all regional Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) documents and security cheques.
- Oversee and regulate branch-related expenses and manage vendor bill bookings in compliance with TDS regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational background with a Bachelor's in Commerce, CA Intermediate, ICWA Intermediate, or MBA degree.
- Possess 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience in receivable management, accounting, and reconciliation if qualified with CA Inter or ICWA Inter; or over 8 years if holding a B.Com or MBA.
- Fundamental understanding of statutory compliance requirements such as TDS and GST.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP software.
