Assistant Manager - Commercial - Domestic Sales

About the Role

Jindal Stainless invites applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Commercial focusing on Domestic Sales based in Kolkata, West Bengal. This on-site position supports the East region by managing collections, ensuring statutory compliance, and collaborating across departments for seamless operations within the engineering, oil, gas, and mining sectors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily recording of collection entries and ensure payments are cleared promptly.
• Generate and analyse daily reports relating to overdue amounts, collections, and sales.
• Coordinate with Key Account Managers by sharing invoice documentation and facilitating balance confirmations.
• Conduct customer account reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
• Issue debit and credit notes and provide relevant documentation and statements to customers on request.
• Prepare documentation for customer refunds and handle pending credit note discussions effectively.
• Ensure statutory compliance, specifically TDS, including issuing timely certificates and maintaining appropriate accounting records.
• Manage all-regional MOU records and security cheques, while monitoring and controlling branch expenses.
• Process vendor bill bookings adhering to TDS compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP software applications.
• Fundamental understanding of statutory compliance, particularly TDS and GST regulations.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an MBA.
• Intermediate qualifications in CA or ICWA (CA Inter/ICWA Inter) are acceptable.
• Experience requirements differ by qualification: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in receivable management, accounting, and reconciliation for CA Inter/ICWA Inter holders; or over 8 years for B.Com/MBA graduates.
