The team values originality, strong taste, and a clear fashion handwriting. Technical development can be supported internally, so the focus of this role is on design instinct, trend research, product creation, and contributing to ranges that feel new and exciting for a global customer base.
Team and Culture
ASOS is a major fashion and beauty destination with international reach. The company describes its culture as authentic, brave, and creative. The design team draws inspiration from street style, vintage, music, art, the runway, and wider creative culture to build fresh product across a broad mix of categories.
ASOS is Disability Confident Committed and encourages candidates to share any reasonable adjustment needs during the recruitment process.

- Develop distinctive product for both long lead-time styles and fast-turnaround Test & React ranges.
- Help deliver brand OKRs and contribute to trading decisions using data and analytics.
- Recommend creative actions to the Designer, Senior Designer, and management team.
- Support speed-to-market initiatives and identify opportunities to bring product to market ahead of competitors.
Requirements
- Experience designing for womenswear and/or footwear and accessories, with a handwriting that fits the ASOS customer.
- Background in a fashion brand or high street retailer, ideally in womenswear, accessories, footwear, or a related category.
- Experience working with suppliers across the Far East, Europe, and the UK.
- Ability to partner with a Buyer to build a balanced range and develop first-to-market product.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the ASOS brand and customer.
- Clear taste level, creative instinct, and idea generation; technical capability is helpful but not expected to be fully mature at this level.
- Excellent computer skills, including Photoshop, Adobe tools, CAD, Miro, and AI design tools.
- A fashion design background or relevant studies, with a portfolio required as part of the application.
- A fashion-forward point of view and a strong sense of personal handwriting relevant to ASOS.
- Strong time management and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Confidence to spot issues, suggest improvements, and find practical ways around barriers.
- Ability to communicate departmental performance and strategy to the team and senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and potentially internationally for supplier meetings and inspiration or development trips.
- Comfort working in an agile environment, identifying risks and opportunities as priorities change.
