Role Overview
As a Legal Counsel, you will serve as a vital resource for the company by providing advice across diverse legal domains including commercial arrangements, marketing and advertising, brand management, sustainability, supply chain matters, property, and emerging areas like AI. Supporting the Head of Legal and Senior Counsel, your work will span cross-border and complex commercial issues, requiring prompt risk assessment and legal guidance.
This position is suited to candidates with a strong ethical foundation, hands-on approach, commercial awareness, and eagerness to develop expertise across broad legal and risk-management fields. Prior experience in all listed areas is not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure marketing campaigns comply with advertising regulations such as ASA, CAP, and consumer protection laws.
- Advise on influencer and talent contracts covering content rights, exclusivity, and image usage.
- Provide guidance on AI applications in marketing, including AI-generated content.
- Review and negotiate prize promotions, competitions, and consumer terms.
- Draft, review, and negotiate diverse commercial contracts including wholesale, brand partnerships, and supplier agreements.
- Support marketplace and brand collaboration contracts with third parties.
- Advise on supply chain and logistics contracts as well as property-related legal issues.
- Assist with sustainability-focused legal compliance such as environmental regulations, ESG reporting, and green claims.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and legal teams to push projects forward and manage legal risks.
- Manage relationships with internal and external legal counsel and stakeholders.
- Lead or assist in delivering legal training internally.
- Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within the organization.
Work Environment
This position requires presence in the office at least three days a week to foster collaboration, faster decision-making, and team culture. You will report directly to senior legal leadership and interact across multiple business areas globally.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor with post-qualification experience in general commercial law, gained through private practice or in-house roles.
- Experienced in drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
- Positively embraces AI technologies.
- Exhibits flexible and approachable communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across departments and regions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, agile, and evolving commercial environment.
- Strong relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
