Analyst, Quality Assurance – Jewelry

Job summary

This role focuses on checking finished jewelry against quality benchmarks, identifying any flaws, proposing practical fixes, and helping with repair-related work along with routine departmental administration.

What you'll do

• Review the workmanship and assembly of manufactured jewelry, and assess diamonds, colored stones, and pearls to verify that all required quality standards are satisfied. Carry out testing as directed, confirm that every component is correct and operating as intended, and verify laser inscriptions when relevant.
• Spot recurring manufacturing defects and partner with QA leadership to suggest corrective actions and product enhancements.
• Apply knowledge of base materials such as castings and findings.
• Handle inspection-related administrative work, including documentation, department reporting, inventory review, and tracking the condition of products.

Qualifications

• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in jewelry inspection is required.
• A Graduate Gemologist qualification is mandatory; FGA is considered an advantage.
• Hands-on ability to use a Lica microscope is necessary.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills are needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Publisher is preferred.
• Familiarity with Photoshop is preferred.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and oversee small projects.
• Prior bench jewelry or manufacturing experience would be a plus.
