IT Analyst and Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Overview

Join our IT team as a pivotal member responsible for analyzing business requirements and driving quality assurance efforts to ensure delivery of dependable IT solutions aligned with business objectives. This position entails thorough documentation, solution support, testing leadership, and quality control enforcement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and formally document both functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to collect business rules and acceptance criteria.
• Develop key documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Statements of Work (SOW), User Stories, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Map out current (As-Is) and prospective (To-Be) business processes and create related workflow diagrams and system interaction charts.
• Maintain version-controlled documentation such as SOPs, user guides, release notes, manuals, and knowledge bases.
• Assist in implementing approved application enhancements through programming, scripting, or configuration, while ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Analyze impacts of changes and provide technical clarifications when needed.
• Ensure applications adhere to information security policies and assist in deploying security controls to mitigate risks like data loss and cyber threats.
• Lead testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT) and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defining testing scopes, strategies, and entry/exit criteria.
• Design test plans and comprehensive test cases, performing positive, negative, and edge-case tests, maintaining all testing evidences.
• Manage defect life cycles by logging, prioritizing, monitoring, validating fixes via regression testing, and supporting release readiness ensuring quality standards before production deployment.
• Operate as liaison with vendors concerning incidents, upgrades, and system enhancements, supporting troubleshooting and monitoring vendor performance against service level agreements.
• Facilitate coordination among business users, IT teams, project managers, and vendors to handle project activities, dependencies, risks, and escalate critical issues.
• Generate timely and comprehensive reporting for project status, dashboards, RAID logs, meeting minutes, and executive summaries in both Arabic and English as required.
• Ensure compliance with Software Development Life Cycle standards, change management procedures, governance, audits, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Keep all application and technical documentation updated and easily accessible following system updates.
• Prepare management information system reports and support IT project reporting needs.
• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards delivering consistent and controlled services.
• Provide additional support duties and backup assistance to colleagues when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 5 years of pertinent IT experience.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.
• Between 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in application design, development, configuration, and support.
• Experience in banking or financial services sectors is preferred.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Programming experience with Java, .Net with C#, C++, Python, React, or other relevant technologies.
• Familiarity with APIs, web applications, web services, and client-side technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and JQuery.
• Database management skills involving SQL Server, Oracle, or Sybase.
• Proven experience developing software interfaces.
• Knowledge of industry trends and IT developments in the regional market.
• Understanding of system integration and administration concepts.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively in a multicultural environment with both internal and external stakeholders.
