Shiseido Americas is hiring a detail-focused Financial Analyst to support global brand operations for NARS and Tory Burch in New York. What you will do
- Own budgeting and reporting activities for US global brand profit-and-loss statements.
- Review actual results against budget and forecast, and explain major variances.
- Write clear financial summaries that highlight performance trends, drivers, and business takeaways.
- Help update budgets and work with business partners during reforecast cycles.
- Assess the profitability of new product launches and share recommendations.
- Study the financial effects of product exits and portfolio optimization decisions.
- Track gross margin benchmarks across brands and product groups.
- Identify margin drivers and turn findings into actions that can improve profitability.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to understand business performance.
- Work with stakeholders to build accurate forecasts and strategic financial plans.
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as business requirements change.
- Present financial results and insights to different levels of management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for global brand operations.
- Maintain and improve financial models and reporting templates.
- Support month-end close activities and help ensure data accuracy.
- Look for ways to simplify processes and make reporting more efficient.
Requirements
- At least 1-2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related finance function.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
- Advanced Excel capability, including financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with careful attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Working understanding of P&L structure and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment and manage several priorities at once.
- Good business judgment and curiosity about what drives performance.
