About the Role
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Administrative Assistant IV to support the Pediatrics Department within the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. This senior administrative position plays a vital part in the leadership team by assisting the Program Director and Associate Program Directors with the management and strategic direction of an accredited residency program. The role involves coordinating a variety of program requirements and working closely with multiple department members.
Key Responsibilities
The Administrative Assistant IV collaborates with program leadership to oversee program activities such as long-term planning, recruitment, project creation and execution, as well as managing databases. This role also facilitates communication among faculty, residents, medical students, specialty departments, external institutions, and the Graduate Medical Education (GME) office. Close cooperation with peers to fulfill duties is expected.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of progressively responsible relevant experience. Experience areas can include administrative or program support for professional staff and management, secretarial duties supporting a manager, communications coordination, supervision of staff, or conducting research from various sources. Alternatively, candidates with one year experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada state service or an equivalent blend of education and experience are eligible.

Salary and Benefits
The position is designated Grade 29 Step 1, with a starting salary of $50,153.76 per year.
