About the Role
The Mobility Department at Hamburg University of Technology is dedicated to supporting students and staff planning study or work stays abroad, including managing financing options and assisting incoming exchange students from partner universities worldwide. This department administers various mobility and scholarship programs such as Erasmus and DAAD initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of Incoming Exchange student mobility programs (semester stays under Erasmus and worldwide schemes).
- Provide advice and ongoing administrative support to incoming exchange students before, during, and after their mobility period at TU Hamburg.
- Oversee the registration and processing of mobilities in the Mobility Online database.
- Coordinate the application process and selection in collaboration with study deaneries.
- Organize housing allocation for incoming exchange students in university dormitories.
Candidate Profile
Mandatory qualifications:
- University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) with a focus on international studies, social sciences, humanities, or business administration.
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong intercultural skills and excellent command of German and English (C1 level).
- Knowledge of university structures and procedural workflows, particularly in student mobility and international stakeholder engagement.
- Advanced computer proficiency (e.g., MS Office), with substantial experience using database-driven applications, especially Mobility Online.
- Deep understanding of student mobility programs and the specific needs and requirements of international students.
- Excellent communication, cooperation, teamwork abilities along with a client-oriented and friendly approach.
