Job description
Role Overview
Join our passionate team at Bob Owens Retirement Village in Tauranga as an Activity and Lifestyle Coordinator, where you will be pivotal in creating memorable experiences and enhancing the wellbeing of our vibrant community. This full-time, on-site position offers stable hours from Monday to Friday, with working times 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and until 5:30 PM on Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a diverse range of recreational, social, and craft activities tailored to resident interests.
- Foster happiness, promote wellbeing, and elevate the quality of life for all residents.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members to provide supportive and comprehensive care.
- Safely operate a manual van to facilitate resident activities, requiring a full driver’s license and comfort with manual transmission vehicles.
Candidate Profile
- Possess strong empathy and genuine care for the elderly community.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with a friendly and dependable demeanor.
- Maintain professionalism while working within a supportive and caring environment.
- Experience in aged care is advantageous but not mandatory.
