Role Overview

The Academic Coordinator position is a part-time role based in the Louisville Metropolitan Area that blends on-site responsibilities with remote work flexibility. The incumbent will be instrumental in managing academic support functions, which include scheduling tutoring and test prep sessions, communicating effectively with instructors, students, and families, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling and delivery of tutoring and test preparation to meet student needs.
  • Act as a communication hub among instructors, students, and families to maintain consistent engagement.
  • Monitor and track student progress, collecting relevant data to support instructional choices.
  • Support curriculum alignment to ensure instructional materials meet educational standards and student objectives.
  • Assist with enrollment and outreach efforts to expand and manage student participation.
  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation related to academic programs and student support.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to enhance academic offerings and support services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in educational settings supporting learners across various age groups and academic levels.
  • Proficiency in curriculum design and adaptation aligned with standards and learner goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Background in academic advising, guiding students in course and test preparation planning.
  • Analytical skills to interpret student performance data and improve instructional methods.
  • Strong organizational aptitude and time management skills, ensuring meticulous scheduling and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms for remote communication, data management, and educational technologies.
  • Educational background preferably includes a bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related discipline; prior involvement in tutoring, test prep, or school coordination is advantageous.
