Job Overview
This role involves managing front desk functions such as reception duties, guest check-ins and check-outs, handling cashiering, foreign exchange, and assisting guests with inquiries to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and register guests upon arrival following established guidelines.
- Perform check-in, check-out, and room change procedures; accurately log all guest data into the hotel system.
- Maintain the cashier float and provide accurate daily monetary reports.
- Handle guests’ payments and assist with currency exchange services.
- Stay informed about updates to accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage guests’ requests for use of safety boxes at all times.
- Be well-versed in special promotion programs such as Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers, and Hotel Loyalty schemes.
- Address guests’ complaints, questions, and requests, escalating when necessary to supervisors or management.
- Ensure guests leave with a favorable impression of the hotel’s service quality.
- Conduct audit balance checks and prepare regular audit reports.
- During night shifts, review night reports, prepare morning reports, and complete required documentation for guest arrivals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of standard reservation processes.
- Exemplify departmental standards regarding conduct, appearance, and attitude.
- Keep the front desk area spotless and organized at all times.
- Comply fully with the hotel’s credit policy and all relevant procedures.
- Perform any additional related tasks or special assignments as directed.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be a Saudi national.
- Proficient communication skills in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
- Ability to build rapport and obtain support from colleagues and management.
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with coworkers.
- Focus on guest needs, remaining calm and polite in all situations.
- Capable of fostering positive relationships with guests and patrons.
- Exhibits sound judgment when handling challenging guest situations.
- Comfortable and adaptable in a multicultural work environment.
