About Aspen Court Nursing and Dementia Care Home

Aspen Court is a modern care facility on the northern edge of Taunton, Somerset, specializing in Nursing, Dementia, and Complex Care. It offers a secure and supportive atmosphere for up to 42 residents, emphasizing dignity, wellbeing, and personalized care.

Position Summary

The Domestic Assistant plays a vital role in promoting a clean, safe, and comfortable living space for residents, many of whom have complex needs such as advanced dementia and mental health conditions. The role involves cleaning resident rooms, communal areas, and shared spaces to consistently maintain high hygiene and infection control standards. Collaborating closely with the care team, the assistant helps ensure an organized environment that runs smoothly.

Working Conditions and Compensation

  • Hourly pay of 12.71
  • 40 contracted hours per week, including weekends
  • Paid DBS check, pension plan, provided uniform, and onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks of annual leave (pro-rated)

  • Good knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness standards

  • Previous experience in cleaning or domestic roles is advantageous but not required
