Job description
Position Summary
The Worship Pastor will shape and guide the church’s worship life with both spiritual depth and creative direction. This role centers on building a Christ-focused worship environment, leading services, equipping volunteers, and partnering with church leadership to advance the congregation’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and lead worship for Sunday services and special church events.
- Find, train, mentor, and spiritually develop worship team members and volunteers.
- Bring together musicians, vocalists, and production staff so worship services run smoothly.
- Choose music and build worship sets that fit the message theme and reflect the church’s values.
- Manage schedules and rehearsal planning for the worship ministry.
- Work alongside pastors and other ministry leaders on church-wide plans and initiatives.
- Look after worship-related equipment and the technology used during services.
- Encourage growth, unity, and healthy community within the worship team.
Qualifications
- A sincere follower of Jesus Christ with mature Christian character and a strong personal faith.
- Willingness to align with the church’s statement of faith and core values.
- At least 3 years of experience leading worship.
- Strong ability in both singing and playing an instrument.
- Background in leading and developing volunteer teams.
- Comfort using worship planning and presentation tools such as Planning Center and ProPresenter.
- Clear communication and solid organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Worship, Music, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience serving in a church with multiple generations represented.
- Working knowledge of audio systems, lighting, and livestream tools.
