Worship Pastor

Position Summary

The Worship Pastor will shape and guide the church’s worship life with both spiritual depth and creative direction. This role centers on building a Christ-focused worship environment, leading services, equipping volunteers, and partnering with church leadership to advance the congregation’s mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead worship for Sunday services and special church events.
• Find, train, mentor, and spiritually develop worship team members and volunteers.
• Bring together musicians, vocalists, and production staff so worship services run smoothly.
• Choose music and build worship sets that fit the message theme and reflect the church’s values.
• Manage schedules and rehearsal planning for the worship ministry.
• Work alongside pastors and other ministry leaders on church-wide plans and initiatives.
• Look after worship-related equipment and the technology used during services.
• Encourage growth, unity, and healthy community within the worship team.

Qualifications

• A sincere follower of Jesus Christ with mature Christian character and a strong personal faith.
• Willingness to align with the church’s statement of faith and core values.
• At least 3 years of experience leading worship.
• Strong ability in both singing and playing an instrument.
• Background in leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Comfort using worship planning and presentation tools such as Planning Center and ProPresenter.
• Clear communication and solid organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Worship, Music, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience serving in a church with multiple generations represented.
• Working knowledge of audio systems, lighting, and livestream tools.
