This role goes beyond private practice by offering collaborative support including individual counseling, group trainings, leadership consultations, and crisis response. Reporting to a Clinical Manager, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to advance mental health strategies across a high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consultations and support for managers, HR teams, and employees onsite in New York City for 16-20 hours weekly during set hours (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Collaborate with an onsite clinical team to share best practices and navigate complex organizational situations.
- Participate regularly in team meetings to foster professional community and shared expertise.
- Assess risk and respond to organizational crises with immediate support, triage, and safety planning.
- Provide strategic advice to leaders and HR partners to promote employee well-being and workplace efficiency.
- Develop deep knowledge of internal benefit systems for seamless navigation and referrals.
- Establish trusting relationships with local stakeholders to implement customized mental health action plans.
- Organize and conduct critical incident response and tailored mental health training sessions.
- Analyze workplace data and trends to identify insights and recommend targeted interventions.
- Represent the program at benefit promotion events to boost awareness and participation.
- Manage formal employee referrals in line with established protocols to ensure suitable care placement.
- Maintain precise, timely clinical documentation while adhering to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Identify and eliminate care barriers to ensure a smooth experience for members.
- Engage in regular case reviews and internal meetings to maintain a unified care approach.
- Communicate routinely with local contacts to detect and escalate site-specific needs to senior clinical leadership.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Possess an unrestricted psychotherapy license in New York (e.g., Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC); applicants requiring supervision are not eligible.
- Have at least 3 years of post-graduate experience, including a minimum of 1 year as an independently licensed clinician.
- Exhibit expertise in management consultation, critical incident response, and delivering training presentations.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency with technology and telehealth platforms such as Zendesk, Slack, and Google Suite.
- Experience in evidence-based care methods, particularly short-term and solution-focused therapy.
- Comfortable conducting safety planning and interventions for clients presenting higher-risk scenarios.
- Commit to high-quality, timely documentation of service delivery.
- Enjoy both independent work and collaborative engagement within a clinical team and with care navigators.
- Support diversity and inclusion in client and team interactions.
- Have reliable home internet and a personal device for two-factor authentication setup.
- Ability to assist leaders and professionals managing organizational change, complex dynamics, and strategic stress.
- Provide meaningful consultation on executive stress, decision fatigue, and sustainable performance aligned with business goals.
- Conduct engaging training sessions on psychological safety, resilience, leadership, and performance sustainability.
- Recognize and raise cross-functional issues affecting culture, morale, or productivity, recommending appropriate interventions.
- Maintain an accessible onsite presence to reduce stigma and encourage early support-seeking behavior.
- Advise managers on managing morale, burnout, and performance-related stress effectively.
- Identify and address compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and emotional exhaustion common in high-demand roles.
- Offer de-escalation and stabilization guidance during high-stress incidents and peak periods.
