About the Role
Join VÆRIDION on the forefront of aviation innovation as we develop the world’s first electric nine-seater aircraft, the Microliner. This position as a Working Student Manufacturing Engineer involves actively assisting in developing, assembling, and industrializing advanced battery modules that are essential for the next generation of electric aircraft. You will be deeply involved in practical manufacturing tasks, refining processes, and prototype assembly focused on creating lightweight, safe, and highly integrated aviation battery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly of battery modules and subcomponents, including cell testing through to final assembly closure.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes by designing assembly sequences, tooling concepts, and quality assurance measures for consistent production.
- Conduct assessments for manufacturability of new designs, analyzing risks, identifying tolerance challenges, and suggesting ways to simplify production.
- Help prepare, review, and manage work instructions, assembly documentation, and inspection sheets to be used both internally and by external manufacturing partners.
- Contribute to workshop organization tasks such as managing inventory, preparing fixtures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to mechanical, aerospace, materials, industrial, or electrical engineering or a close field.
- Keen interest in battery technology, energy storage solutions, or electric propulsion systems.
- Practical experience in mechanical or electronic assembly or laboratory work is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX for designing fixtures, jigs, and assembly layouts.
- Organized, dependable, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a workshop environment, handling tools, adhesives, and prototype parts.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
