Role Summary

The First Shift Welder / Fabricator will be tasked with welding and fabricating steel components essential to armored vehicle assembly. Candidates should possess strong MIG welding expertise, proficiency in reading fabrication prints, and demonstrate dedication to producing high-quality, safety-critical work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel parts and assemblies.
• Fabricate components based on engineering drawings, prints, and work orders.
• Fit, tack, and assemble parts before final welding execution.
• Execute welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet both quality and aesthetic standards.
• Inspect welds to ensure accuracy, proper penetration, and structural integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret and understand fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Experience handling steel and structural components.
• Familiarity with grinders, saws, and fabrication tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged durations.
