About the Role
Apurva Water Management System Private Limited invites experienced and certified Welders proficient in 3G and 6G welding techniques to join their team. The role centers on fabrication and site-based welding assignments within Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP) projects located in Ahmedabad and various sites across Gujarat.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and MIG (Metal Inert Gas) methods adherent to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and technical drawings.
- Execute welding in 3G and 6G positions on Mild Steel (MS), Stainless Steel (SS), and Galvanized Iron (GI) pipes and sheet metal plates.
- Interpret and analyze fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Prepare welding joints including beveling, tack welding, and weld from root to cap.
- Ensure welding quality complies with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), AWS (American Welding Society), and client-defined standards.
- Conduct visual inspections and assist with Radiographic Testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and housekeeping standards.
- Record and maintain detailed welding logs and daily progress reports.
- Assist with fabrication of pipes, structural welding, and installation of equipment as required on site.
- Collaborate and coordinate with fitters and supervisors to meet project timelines.
- Be prepared to travel across Gujarat for project deployments.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of valid 3G and 6G welding certifications is highly advantageous.
- ITI certification in Fitter or Welder trade, or minimum 10th-grade pass with relevant welding certifications.
- Demonstrated 2 to 7 years of experience in industrial welding, focusing on pressure pipe and structural welding.
- Working knowledge of welding electrodes, gas cutting methods, and grinding equipment.
- Physical fitness to perform welding duties at heights and willingness to work in shifts.
- Disciplined and capable of thriving under site conditions and safety guidelines.
