Role Summary and Responsibilities

Operating under the guidance of an assigned supervisor, the Wellness Coach I plays a vital role in promoting foundational wellness through social-emotional education, mental health awareness, and direct support to students. Key duties involve conducting individual check-in sessions and facilitating group wellness activities, assisting with the daily management of site wellness programs, engaging in outreach initiatives, maintaining wellness resources and spaces, observing and accurately reporting student behaviors as per protocols, and collecting data via pre/post surveys and additional sources concerning student progress.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of at least an Associate’s Degree awarded by an accredited California community college or equivalent U.S. program in Social Work, Human Services, Addiction Studies, Child Development/Early Intervention, Psychology, or Sociology.
• A minimum of 1,000 hours of relevant practical experience in related fields.
• Spanish language proficiency is considered advantageous.
