Position Overview and Responsibilities

The School & Community Wellness Coach II operates under the guidance of a Student Services Administrator as part of a team enhancing schools as wellness centers in their communities. This position employs systemic, community partnership, youth-led, equity-focused, and developmentally appropriate methods to foster instruction, mental wellness, student behavior, and collaborative leadership involving youth and families. Central duties include building and maintaining Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), implementing school-site community plans aligned with the CCSPP model, researching and acquiring resources and partnerships to aid youth and families, conducting needs assessments to identify necessary social-emotional, mental health, curricular, and academic services, and managing an accountability plan, providing consistent quarterly updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, Public Health, Nursing, Business Administration, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 800 hours of relevant professional experience performing comparable duties, ideally within educational settings.
  • Valid California Driver’s License required.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills are preferred.
