The district spans neighborhoods across Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Jose, and Cupertino. Its staff includes teachers, classified employees, and administrators who are known for experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to student well-being and academic readiness.

The district’s guiding vision emphasizes graduates who are resilient, future-ready, collaborative problem-solvers with the skills to succeed in a global community. Its Adult Portrait highlights eight values: being a world-leading professional, a student-centered lifelong learner, a creative and critical thinker, an adaptive forward thinker, a caring adult, an inclusivity champion, an equity advocate, and an empowering collaborator.

Under general supervision, the Enrollment Technician supports the Enrollment Center by handling registration and enrollment processes, preparing reports, performing data analysis, and helping develop procedures. This position requires strong organizational ability, accuracy, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to work effectively with the public and district staff.

Key Duties

The role involves creating and updating spreadsheets, Word documents, PDF forms, and databases; helping draft and revise registration and enrollment procedures; communicating with families and other stakeholders in person, by phone, and electronically; processing records and transcripts; applying established policies and procedures to make decisions; and collecting, reconciling, and sharing information with schools and district personnel.

Additional Requirements and Working Expectations

The position also requires familiarity with public education systems, including related laws, policies, practices, and enrollment procedures, as well as strong English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and report-writing skills.

An equivalent of an associate degree or higher is required. Candidates should have five years of experience and a high level of proficiency with Word or Google Docs, database tools, student information systems, Excel or Google Sheets, PDF applications, cloud-based applications, web-based applications, Outlook, and similar software. In addition, three years of progressively responsible clerical experience are required. Bilingual Spanish ability is preferred.
