Role Overview
The hospital is inviting applications for the role of Staff Nurse specializing in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). The candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services to ensure optimal patient care and safety within the hospital environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Offer comprehensive nursing assistance to patients across various units.
- Evaluate and continuously monitor patient health conditions, maintaining detailed records.
- Administer prescribed medications and carry out treatment regimens effectively.
- Support medical professionals during clinical examinations and procedures.
- Monitor vital parameters such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure regularly.
- Provide diligent wound care and institute necessary infection prevention protocols.
- Respond to medical emergencies with prompt first aid and critical care measures.
- Assist in maternal and child health services including antenatal and postnatal care.
- Administer immunizations and vaccines as part of preventative healthcare.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, hygiene practices, and strategies to prevent disease.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient health records to support continuous care.
- Work collaboratively with doctors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality healthcare.
- Ensure adherence to patient safety standards and healthcare quality protocols throughout service delivery.
