Our team combines deep insurance industry experience with cutting-edge AI engineering from backgrounds including Amazon and Meta.
Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and decisive VP Sales & Strategic Partnerships for the German market to work closely with the CEO. This role involves leading the sales function, driving growth, and cultivating strategic partnerships within the German insurance claims market, which handles approximately €100 billion in annual claim payouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishing and expanding the sales organization and refining sales methodologies.
- Leading new customer acquisition by independently building and managing a robust sales pipeline from initial contact through contract signing.
- Developing existing client relationships to convert pilot projects into multi-year enterprise contracts.
- Creating and strengthening strategic alliances with key stakeholders in the German insurance industry, such as claims executives and central industry platforms (e.g., GDV, Versicherungsforen Leipzig).
- Managing pricing and contractual frameworks including responses to tenders and establishing result-based remuneration and clear service levels.
- Monitoring market trends within the DACH claims sector to inform the company's roadmap and marketing strategies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience with German insurers, preferably within the claims ecosystem (e.g., third-party administrators, claims adjusters, repair networks, or expert offices) or in a commercial role within claims departments.
- Established, personal network with decision-makers in the German insurance sector, including claims executives, COOs, CIOs, and purchasing managers—this network is vital for success in the first year.
- Proven track record closing seven-figure enterprise contracts and understanding of procurement, IT security, and compliance processes in German insurers.
- Highly independent in managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting at the board level to negotiation, contract structuring, and handover to implementation teams.
- Native-level German and excellent English (the internal working language).
- Willingness to travel 30–50% of the time.
Benefits
- Opportunity to shape the AI-driven transformation of claims handling while building out the sales organization.
- Competitive fixed salary plus a strong variable component exceeding €200,000 total compensation, along with significant equity participation (VSOP).
- 30 vacation days plus two weeks "Work from Anywhere" annually.
- Office located centrally in Berlin with great connectivity; initial onboarding on-site followed by a flexible hybrid work model.
- Direct collaboration with founders within a flat organizational structure enabling quick decisions.
- Urban Sports Club membership.
- Chance to influence the future of the claims market, not just quarterly targets.
Additional Information
Work location: Hybrid or on-site in Berlin.
Employment type: Permanent full-time.
Contact person: Philip Nag (CEO & Managing Director).
Application note: Submit your CV with a brief summary highlighting your enterprise deals (volume, sales cycle, decision-maker involvement) and why this role excites you; no lengthy cover letter required.
