Job Summary
Google's gTech Users and Products (gUP) division is seeking a Vietnamese Language Manager to enhance the localization process and tailor products for Vietnamese users. The role involves strategic collaboration, quality assurance, and project management to support Google's product ecosystem adaptation for the Vietnamese market.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insight into market demands for localization quality and align Google's product language strategy accordingly.
- Serve as a vital partner to Vietnam-centric Marketing, Product, and Public Relations teams to facilitate authentic native language experiences.
- Maintain consistent communication with local stakeholders to understand priorities and disseminate updates on language strategy and localization services.
- Create and continuously improve Vietnamese language guidelines with emphasis on AI-driven quality enhancements.
- Develop expert knowledge of the Vietnam market and user expectations to effectively utilize language in achieving business goals.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years in technical project management or in customer-facing roles.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese to effectively promote Google's products to Vietnamese clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in creative fields such as localization, journalism, public communications, or online marketing/advertising.
- Proven experience as a Vietnamese translator, linguist, copywriter, editor, or writer with strong translation skills.
- Background in project or program management with capability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders globally.
- Familiarity with Generative AI technologies to enhance localization quality and generate resonant content while recognizing LLM limitations.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to manage multi-level stakeholder relationships.
