About the Role
This position is part of Google Cloud's Mandiant team, which is a global leader in cyber defense, threat intelligence, and incident response. Mandiant is recognized for its ability to combat complex cyber breaches through frontline defense experience, nation-state level threat intelligence, machine intelligence, and top-tier security validation. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in evaluating and analyzing cyber threat intelligence to support monitoring, detection, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess tools and best practices aimed at tracking advanced cyber threats, including attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), as well as attacker motivations and industry trends.
- Conduct research and analysis on adversarial cyber threats at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
- Integrate intelligence data to enhance the understanding of ongoing threat activities.
- Communicate insightful tactical and strategic intelligence regarding threat actors, their methods, and drivers to varied audiences.
- Collaborate with clients to identify their intelligence needs and deliver comprehensive briefings and written reports to executives, security teams, and fellow analysts.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, technology research, anti-abuse, policy, or similar domains.
- Proven ability to consume, process, and analyze Cyber Threat Intelligence data effectively within operational settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Eight or more years of relevant work experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, technology research, anti-abuse, policy, or related fields.
- Experience operating within complex public sector frameworks and regulatory environments.
- Strong proficiency in analyzing network, endpoint, and security logs or telemetry for security investigations and threat hunting.
- Experience presenting to and engaging with both technical stakeholders and senior leadership through verbal communication and report writing.
- In-depth knowledge of Cyber Threat Intelligence methodologies and their application in cybersecurity organizations.
Additional Information
- Candidates may need to obtain or currently hold CAT2A security clearance.
