Video Editor (Short-Form & Long-Form Content)

About the Organisation

Migration Unity is an Australian immigration law practice that supports skilled professionals, families, and employers through the visa journey. The team is expanding its content presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn and is looking for an experienced editor to help build and maintain that engine.

Role Overview

In this position, you will turn raw footage, voiceovers, and graphic assets into polished video content tailored for each platform. The work covers fast-paced short videos for Reels and TikTok, as well as longer-form pieces for YouTube and LinkedIn.

Core Work

• Cut and refine short-form videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok, including strong hooks, captions, pacing, music selection, and transitions.
• Edit longer videos for YouTube and LinkedIn, incorporating intros, b-roll, graphics, and chapter markers.
• Create and place subtitles, lower-thirds, and motion graphics where needed.
• Perform colour correction/grading and basic audio cleanup to improve final output quality.
• Keep the visual style consistent across all channels and formats.
• Stay organised by managing project folders and source files efficiently.

What the Team Needs

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering both short-form and long-form video edits and understands what resonates on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. You should be comfortable working independently, handling deadlines, and following creative direction. Clear English communication is also important. The role requires availability during Australian business hours, or at least a substantial overlap with them.
