Position Summary
The Vice President of Product Operations and Strategy will lead the strategic planning for products, develop and oversee operational systems, manage product growth, and implement commercialization plans. Acting as the connective force between product development direction and corporate growth goals, this role is pivotal in ensuring ongoing product refinement to maximize user value, market competitiveness, and commercial success. Key approaches include leveraging market insights, user analytics, operational improvements, and fostering collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design medium- and long-term strategies and annual operational plans for product lines.
- Evaluate market trends, customer requirements, and competitor benchmarks to define development pathways.
- Create and maintain product roadmaps and prioritization frameworks ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Develop and institutionalize a comprehensive product operations management system covering lifecycle stages such as launch, marketing, optimization, and expansion.
- Implement strategies targeting user growth, engagement enhancement, retention, and conversion optimization.
- Continuously improve product experience and operational effectiveness.
- Establish key performance indicators and data metrics frameworks to monitor operational progress.
- Identify opportunities for growth through user behavior analysis and data-driven insights.
- Steer data-informed product optimization and experimentation to drive commercial success.
- Create commercialization approaches and collaborate with marketing and sales to boost product adoption and revenue.
- Use market feedback to adjust product positioning and competitive approaches.
- Investigate novel business models and channels to spur expansion.
- Facilitate coordination across product, R&D, technical, marketing, sales, and client-support teams to ensure smooth execution of major initiatives.
- Promote effective communication channels to enhance teamwork and resolve operational challenges.
- Lead and develop teams focused on product operations, strategy, and growth; set clear goals and performance metrics.
- Build a robust talent pipeline and nurture a data-driven, user-focused culture within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification, preferably in Computer Science, Business Management, Marketing, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Over 20 years of experience in product management, operations, or strategic business roles.
- Between 8 and 15+ years in leading product teams and managing complex product ecosystems.
- Demonstrated expertise in user growth strategies, product lifecycle management, and commercialization techniques.
- Strong analytical skills in data analysis, strategic planning capability, and sound business judgment.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and execution leadership skills.
