Role Summary
The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Strategy Execution holds a vital leadership position charged with overseeing the implementation of corporate strategy and business transformation initiatives. This executive ensures that strategic plans are translated into actionable execution with strong organizational systems in place, reporting directly to top-tier leadership such as the CEO, President, or board committees.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the corporate strategy execution framework, including management processes and annual action plans.
- Convert strategic objectives into measurable business goals, key initiatives, and executable roadmaps.
- Create systems for tracking, evaluating, and providing feedback on strategy implementation to enhance execution effectiveness and internal alignment.
- Implement corporate strategic goal management mechanisms (such as OKRs, KPIs, and Balanced Scorecards), oversee goal achievement across units, analyze execution gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead major strategic, transformational, and growth projects by setting governance structures, managing resources, budgets, risks, and ensuring cross-department collaboration for on-time, quality outcomes.
- Drive business transformations and optimize operational models to adapt to market and organizational changes, managing related risks and resistance.
- Coordinate interdepartmental efforts across Strategy, Operations, Finance, Marketing, R&D, Sales, and HR to ensure resource alignment, resolution of execution barriers, and efficient strategic communication.
- Establish analytical systems to monitor strategic performance, prepare comprehensive execution reports for senior management, and identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Continuously improve operational processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and enhance management systems to increase organizational agility and execution capability.
- Build and develop a capable strategy execution team, nurturing leadership focused on results and fostering a culture grounded in performance and execution excellence.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Economics, Engineering Management, or related fields; advanced degrees such as MBA, EMBA, or Master’s in Strategic Management preferred.
- Over two decades of experience in corporate strategy, operations, project management, or business transformation.
- 8 to 15+ years in senior leadership roles such as VP of Strategy, VP of Operations, Transformation or PMO Executive.
- Proven track record in strategy execution within large-scale organizations, multinational corporations, or rapidly growing companies.
- Expertise in corporate transformation, digital modernization, organizational change management, and large-scale business integrations.
- Strong competencies in strategic execution, project leadership, organizational change facilitation, business analysis, performance management, cross-functional resource leadership, executive communications, and complex problem-solving.
