- Use product performance data to improve usage, retention, growth, and profitability.
Cross-functional leadership and team building

- Ensure product strategy is executed smoothly across all relevant functions.
- Build and manage a product leadership structure that may include product directors, senior product managers, product managers, user research leads, and product operations leaders.
Reporting and performance expectations
This position typically reports to the Chief Product Officer or Chief Executive Officer. It also oversees product leadership and operations teams directly.
Performance will generally be assessed through product revenue growth, profit margin, user growth, retention, launch success, customer satisfaction, market share, and return on investment.
Qualifications
Candidates are generally expected to have a background in business administration, computer science, engineering management, marketing, or data analysis. An MBA is preferred.
Relevant experience usually includes 12 to 20+ years across product management, product commercialization, team leadership, and cross-functional leadership. Experience in product director, head of product strategy, head of product operations, or similar leadership roles is preferred.
