Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations at Masaka Vocational Training Institute (MVTI) is a pivotal full-time leadership position working remotely to oversee operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role is responsible for guiding operational planning, managing budgets and resources, and optimizing processes across both academic and administrative divisions. The VP of Operations collaborates closely with senior leadership to ensure that operational activities align with MVTI's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include coordinating cross-departmental initiatives, improving the experience of learners and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading teams to achieve quality standards, cost management, and service excellence. Monitoring critical performance indicators and initiating continuous improvements form an essential part of this role.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Expertise in Operations Management covering process enhancement, effective allocation of resources, and evaluation of performance metrics.
Proficiency in Profit and Loss management involving budget preparation, detailed financial analyses, and oversight of revenue and expense controls.
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on boosting satisfaction levels among learners, partners, and other stakeholders.
Competency in Strategic Planning to define operational objectives, align projects with the organization's long-term vision, and promote sustainable growth.
Experience with Project Management including planning, executing, mitigating risks, and managing cooperation across different teams.
Prior leadership exposure within educational institutions, vocational training centers, or similar service-focused organizations is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical reasoning, communication skills, and sound decision-making, especially suited for a remote, technology-driven work environment.
Possession of an advanced degree or comparable professional experience in fields such as Business Administration, Operations or Education Management is preferred.
