Role Overview

The Vice President of Operational Excellence holds a full-time, remote position responsible for fostering continuous enhancements across the operations, procedures, and systems at Masaka Vocational Training Institute (MVTI). This leadership role involves developing and executing operational frameworks aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and scalability across academic delivery, administrative functions, and support services.

Key Responsibilities

Daily tasks include analyzing operational performance metrics, recognizing areas for improvement, establishing standards, and spearheading cross-departmental projects to refine workflow processes. Collaboration with senior management and department leaders is essential to ensure operational strategies align with the institute's objectives, optimize resource allocation, and promote long-term sustainable development. The role also emphasizes advocating for industry best practices, managing organizational change, and engaging stakeholders to cultivate a culture focused on operational excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive experience in Operations Management and Operational Excellence, including expertise in process optimization, performance tracking, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Background in Manufacturing Operations or similar complex operational environments, with demonstrated success in enhancing system efficiency and workflow optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain Management aspects such as planning, logistics, and resource coordination to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Proven leadership capabilities in senior operational positions, ideally within education, training, or closely related fields.
• Strong aptitude for working remotely, leading interdisciplinary teams, and effectively communicating with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Competence in data-centric decision-making, strategic planning, and overseeing project execution.
• Advanced academic qualifications in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related discipline are highly preferred.
• Familiarity with vocational education frameworks and regulatory compliance is an added advantage.
