Role Overview

The VP of Operations will be responsible for overseeing all operational workflows — from client onboarding through successful platform launch and ongoing management. This role focuses on leveraging AI-driven delivery methods to increase efficiency without proportionally increasing headcount. The successful candidate will lead the transformation toward an AI-native operation, implementing automation and advanced tools to streamline workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client implementation lifecycle including project scoping, staffing, scheduling, and ensuring deadlines are met
• Lead a distributed delivery team effectively across multiple locations
• Develop and implement an AI-first delivery approach by identifying automation opportunities and executing agentic workflows
• Track operational metrics to measure capacity, cycle times, and identify bottlenecks
• Oversee client experience following launch, managing escalations and driving expansion initiatives
• Enhance internal processes and automate back-office functions to improve efficiency

Requirements

• Proven domain expertise in wealth technology, familiar with custodial data, portfolio accounting, CRM, performance reporting, and billing within advisory firms
• Extensive practical experience with AI tools; capable of utilizing AI for substantive work daily and experienced with Model-Connected Platforms (MCP) and agentic workflows that achieve quantifiable outcomes
• Leadership background in operations or delivery within a B2B software or data services environment
• Demonstrated ability to scale operational throughput without a comparable increase in workforce size
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret data models and assess feasibility of estimates
• Experience working within regulated industries requiring precise accuracy
• Assertive communicator able to deliver candid feedback to clients, teams, and executive leadership

Success Indicators

Within the first year, the VP of Operations will accelerate implementation speed, align capacity growth with revenue, and significantly increase the proportion of delivery activities managed through newly developed automation.
