Job description

About Copia

Copia is the premier provider of operational technology (OT) backup and industrial code management solutions. Our innovative software safeguards industrial systems that power factories, warehouses, and critical infrastructure by managing and reviewing the essential but vulnerable industrial code which previously lacked backup or version history.

Major enterprise clients, including Amazon, rely on Copia to overhaul their industrial automation environments across hundreds of sites, involving key stakeholders such as OT security teams, controls engineers, CISOs, and operations leadership. As a rapidly growing team exceeding 60 employees, supported by prominent investors like Construct Capital and Lux Capital, we serve industries spanning manufacturing, logistics, data centers, and energy.

Role Overview

We seek a Vice President of Marketing to establish and lead a revenue-driven marketing organization focused on a targeted account-based strategy. This role involves ownership of the entire funnel, working closely with sales to generate measurable pipeline impact rather than just brand awareness or lead volume.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate strategically with Sales, Business Development/Ops, and Product leaders. You will take charge of a talented marketing team, further developing our successful ABM approach within named accounts and expanding it with the resources and authority granted to you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and rollout a repeatable, account-based marketing program targeting super-enterprise ($8B+) and enterprise ($2–8B) accounts to drive pipeline development and acceleration.
  • Lead the ABM efforts by coordinating marketing, sales, and partnership activities focused on prioritized target accounts.
  • Develop a consistent demand generation engine focused on high-value accounts, evaluating programs based on actual pipeline contribution.
  • Plan and execute custom events and executive experiences to engage buyers such as CISOs, controls engineers, and OT security and operations leaders, converting them into qualified pipeline opportunities.
  • Partner closely with SDR and sales teams to break into strategic accounts and support deal progression with tailored content and messaging.
  • Forge co-marketing alliances with channel, ecosystem, and strategic partners to expand trusted relationships and pipeline sources.
  • Refine Copia’s market positioning, messaging, and category narrative to ensure consistent delivery across channels and stakeholders, including managing analyst relations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Operations team to implement marketing systems, pipelines, and reporting metrics tied directly to sourced and influenced pipeline, aligning with CEO and finance expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, emphasizing enterprise and account-based strategies.
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership roles managing marketing teams.
  • Proven record of marketing to and securing high-value super-enterprise and enterprise accounts, preferably within OT security, cybersecurity, or related technical enterprise sectors.
  • Experience as a strategic partner to executive leadership, including founders.
  • Success demonstrated through:
    • Building and scaling ABM programs based on a targeted account list.
    • Accountability for forecasting and achieving marketing-sourced pipeline targets.
    • Running specialized field and event initiatives tailored to enterprise audiences.
    • Working closely with sales development and sales teams to penetrate named accounts.
    • Expertise with modern revenue marketing technologies such as CRM, marketing automation, AI tools, ABM platforms, and pipeline analytics.
    • Experience creating AI-powered workflows to boost productivity and team efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling effective cross-functional collaboration.
