About Sharon AI

Sharon AI is pioneering infrastructure solutions that enable the next wave of artificial intelligence advancements. Operating within AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, cloud platforms, and large-scale technological environments, the company is committed to delivering scalable, secure, and commercially viable infrastructure that supports sophisticated AI workloads worldwide.

With rapid expansion throughout the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, Sharon AI seeks a seasoned Vice President of Marketing to lead and develop the full spectrum of marketing activities driving this growth. This leadership position entails ownership of regional marketing strategy, demand creation, product and brand positioning, digital efforts, field marketing, and partner collaborations.

Role Overview

Positioned in Sydney and reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role demands a regional marketing leader contributing as a core member of the leadership team. The successful candidate will translate global business strategies into effective regional programs across diverse markets including Australia & New Zealand, India, and broader Asia.

Currently managing a team of three marketing professionals, you will be responsible for scaling this group, emphasizing automation and AI-driven marketing where suitable. The role requires balancing long-term strategic planning with hands-on campaign execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the comprehensive APJ marketing strategy that aligns with global objectives and local revenue targets, including budget management, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Serve as the regional marketing voice within the Go-To-Market framework, closely collaborating with sales, partner, and client success teams to meet pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Build a systematic, scalable demand generation engine incorporating integrated campaigns, account-based marketing (ABM), digital acquisition tactics, webinars, and customer lifecycle initiatives linked to pipeline and revenue objectives.
  • Customize product positioning, messaging, and sales support materials such as battlecards, ROI and TCO tools, and vertical market plays to resonate with APJ’s technical and executive stakeholders, providing feedback into global product development.
  • Elevate brand recognition and advocacy through content marketing, thought leadership, and community engagement initiatives, including adapting efforts to languages like Japanese and Korean.
  • Oversee regional event planning and field marketing strategies, and initiate cooperative marketing programs with global system integrators (GSIs), resellers, and technology partners.
  • Manage regional digital channels including website, SEO/SEM, paid media, and programmatic advertising, while establishing a robust marketing operations infrastructure—covering marketing technologies, attribution methodologies, data quality, and performance reporting—with strict control over customer acquisition costs and payback periods.
  • Expand and develop the existing marketing team into a high-functioning regional unit by managing external agencies and vendors effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 12 years of experience in B2B technology marketing with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles across multiple APJ markets.
  • Expertise in sectors such as infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, DevOps, data management, security, or related technical domains.
  • Proven track record in establishing marketing organizations from initial stages within fast-growing companies (e.g., Series C rounds to pre-IPO or rapidly expanding public companies).
  • Strong proficiency in pipeline analytics, funnel metrics, ABM techniques, and marketing attribution, consistently achieving marketing-driven pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Capability to engage credibly with technical audiences including developers, architects, platform engineers as well as senior IT executives like CIOs and CTOs, appreciating their aversion to marketing exaggeration.
  • In-depth understanding of cultural, linguistic, and go-to-market nuances across Australia-New Zealand, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, and Korea, along with prioritization of investments among these regions.
  • Experience executing joint marketing initiatives with hyperscale cloud providers, GSIs, and channel partners within the APJ region.
  • Skilled builder and mentor of diverse, geographically distributed teams characterized by low ego, strong ownership, and capacity to operate from strategy formulation through to execution.
  • Expert knowledge of marketing technology stacks, analytics tools, and the use of experimentation to guide decision-making and fiscal responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or related fields; an MBA or advanced degree is beneficial but not mandatory.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with consumption-based or open-source adjacent business models in marketing roles.
  • Background as the inaugural senior marketing hire in a region, responsible for establishing function from a minimal or non-existent base.

Why Choose Sharon AI?

This role provides a unique chance to join an Australia-based AI infrastructure pioneer during rapid scale-up, assuming full ownership of the regional marketing function with strategic autonomy and a pivotal leadership position.

You will collaborate with expert sales, product, and customer teams shaping the technology adoption of advanced AI infrastructure across some of the region's leading organizations.

If you are a high-caliber B2B marketing executive with deep APJ expertise and a passion for influencing the future of AI infrastructure, we invite you to engage with this exciting career opportunity.
