About Sharon AI

Sharon AI, headquartered in Australia, is a sovereign Neocloud and an official NVIDIA Cloud Partner. The company specializes in designing, constructing, and managing advanced GPU compute platforms for enterprises, research institutions, and government sectors, facilitating secure large-scale AI, machine learning, and HPC workloads on Australian soil.

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Head of Project Management Office (PMO) to join on a permanent, full-time basis. This leadership position involves setting up and guiding the enterprise-wide PMO, collaborating across multiple departments—including Infrastructure, Platform, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, and Operations. The role mandates developing governance, processes, and frameworks that systematically support the delivery of complex cross-functional programs to scale our operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and oversee the enterprise PMO, defining governance structures, project delivery methodologies, reporting norms, and program controls.
  • Design standardized project processes such as lifecycle stages, templates, workflow systems, RACI charts, approval chains, and delivery manuals applicable company-wide.
  • Manage the full portfolio of enterprise projects and programs, providing transparent oversight concerning delivery progression, key milestones, risks, interdependencies, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership teams across diverse business functions to ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Convert business strategies into structured, actionable programs, complete with delivery roadmaps and executable plans.
  • Lead governance meetings, routine progress reporting, and decision check-ins across simultaneous projects.
  • Enhance overall organizational delivery capabilities by introducing industry best practices in program management, streamlining procedures, and elevating operational maturity.
  • Identify risks early, eradicate obstacles, and maintain alignment between projects and business priorities.
  • Promote continuous enhancement of PMO functions and governance mechanisms.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Significant leadership experience directing PMOs, program management, or enterprise delivery teams within complex tech, infrastructure, or rapidly scaling environments.
  • Demonstrated success in initiating or transforming PMO frameworks, governance policies, and delivery protocols to boost organizational execution.
  • Deep knowledge of project, program, and portfolio management techniques including governance, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and reporting.
  • Proven capacity to manage large, multifaceted programs involving technical and commercial stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for fostering trusted relationships across hierarchical levels.
  • Strong aptitude for process improvement and the design of scalable workflows, governance frameworks, and operational standards.
  • Highly organised and pragmatic, adept at introducing structure within dynamic and fast-evolving settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Project Management, or closely related fields.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in AI infrastructure, cloud computing, hyperscale environments, data centers, telecommunications, SaaS, or enterprise technology sectors.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA platforms, GPU technologies, HPC operations, or platform management activities.
  • Proven track record in building PMO units from scratch.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.

Why Work with Sharon AI

  • Become part of Australia’s swiftly expanding sovereign AI infrastructure technology company.
  • Lead and develop the PMO capability from the ground up.
  • Engage directly with senior management on vital strategic projects.
  • Influence the way next-generation AI infrastructure projects are managed across Australia.
  • Receive a competitive compensation package including short-term and long-term incentives.
