Role Summary

The Vice President of Finance will establish and own the financial systems that underpin Loop's next phase of growth. This strategic role involves more than retrospective financial reporting; it demands shaping the financial future through forecasting, planning, and close partnership with founders. The VP will build the fiscal framework from scratch, handle investor communications, design financial models, and integrate commercial insights across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Loop's financial architecture and operating model to empower faster, smarter decision-making.
• Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, creating integrated models including revenues, expenses, hiring, and investment scenarios.
• Collaborate directly with founders to advise on strategic decisions, challenge underlying assumptions, and clarify financial implications.
• Prepare compelling board and investor communications, support fundraising activities and due diligence processes.
• Exercise comprehensive cash management responsibility, including cash flow projections, fundraising modeling, and analyzing operational burn rates.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering teams to evaluate pricing strategies, customer profitability, and operational finance dashboards.
• Oversee accounting, payroll, compliance, and financial controls to maintain audit readiness and operational efficiency as the company scales.
• Initially serve as a hands-on contributor, progressively building and mentoring a high-caliber finance team fostering ownership and commercial insight.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 10 years of finance experience, preferably within high-growth, venture-funded tech companies at Series A to C stages, characterized by involvement in building finance functions rather than operating in mature ones.
• Proven track record in creating financial forecasting models, board packs, and comprehensive financial planning personally.
• Experience supporting fundraising processes and venture capital reporting.
• Strong expertise in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• Commercially savvy, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable business insights.
• Effective communicator with non-finance stakeholders including C-level executives, able to simplify complex financial concepts.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity with entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating high ownership and minimal bureaucracy.
• Embodies cultural attributes such as radical ownership, customer focus, intellectual honesty, urgency, curiosity, and disciplined execution.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience scaling businesses through multiple funding rounds and creating engaging board reports.
• Strong partnership history with CEOs or founders on strategy, capital deployment, and long-term financial planning.
• Hands-on experience building finance systems and scalable processes, including ERP or FP&A platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Pigment, Anaplan).
• Understanding of SaaS, AI, or enterprise software economics such as ARR, gross margin, retention, CAC, and unit economics.
• Professional certifications like CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA valued but secondary to demonstrated operational experience.
