About Loop

Loop delivers agent-based AI software designed to automate and enhance back-office functions for restaurant chains, focusing on finance, operations, and marketing. With locations in San Francisco, New York, Tampa, and India, Loop supports over 10,000 restaurants, driving billions in revenue growth by integrating best industry practices through AI-powered agents developed by its expert team.

Role Overview

The Vice President of Finance at Loop plays a critical role influencing key business decisions—including hiring, product investments, pricing strategies, expansion plans, fundraising, and cash management—by creating a comprehensive financial operating system to steer the company's future growth over the next three years. This leadership role works closely with founders to formulate company strategy through robust financial insights, managing planning cycles, board reporting, investor communications, and embedding finance deeply into decision-making processes. The position requires building the finance architecture and infrastructure from groundwork, including forecasting, systems, discipline, and governance, enabling scalable operations as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Loop's financial structure, models, and planning processes to accelerate leadership’s decision-making capabilities with scalable systems designed for future growth.
  • Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with integrated models covering revenue, headcount, burn rate, runway, investment, and varied growth scenarios, establishing finance as a strategic competitive advantage.
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to founders by critically evaluating assumptions, investment decisions, and providing clarity for ambiguous paths.
  • Prepare clear, narrative-driven board materials and investor presentations; manage all financial interactions and support fundraising, due diligence, and investor relations to project financial discipline and business confidence.
  • Manage corporate cash flow with detailed forecasting, fundraising scenario modeling, monitoring financial health metrics such as burn multiple and runway, helping leadership grasp impact of current choices on future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, Customer Success, Operations, and Engineering to assess pricing strategies, commercial opportunities, customer profitability, unit economics, and develop actionable dashboards linking financial with operational performance.
  • Oversee finance operations encompassing accounting controls, payroll, reporting, governance, automation of reporting processes, auditor and external partner relations, ensuring audit readiness as the company scales.
  • Initially serve as a hands-on individual contributor while progressively building and mentoring a high-caliber finance team focused on ownership, commercial insight, and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess over 10 years of financial leadership in high-growth, venture-backed technology companies, ideally within Series A to C stages, with proven experience developing forecasting models, board presentations, and financial plans independently.
  • Experienced in fundraising support, investor diligence, and venture capital reporting with strong skills in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and cash management.
  • Commercially minded with ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance leaders and influence strategic discussions directly with founders and executives.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous problems, owning responsibilities fully, and executing with discipline in a dynamic startup environment embedding culture traits like radical ownership, customer obsession, intellectual honesty, urgency, and curiosity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scaling venture-backed companies through multiple funding rounds and delivering compelling board reporting that tells a business story beyond numbers.
  • Direct strategic partnership with CEOs or founders on capital allocation and long-range company planning.
  • Track record of establishing finance functions from scratch including selecting systems, creating scalable processes, and defining reporting rhythms.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, AI, or enterprise software financial metrics such as annual recurring revenue, gross margin, retention rates, customer acquisition costs, and unit economics.
  • Hands-on experience implementing ERP or FP&A solutions like NetSuite, Pigment, Mosaic, or Anaplan.
  • Professional credentials such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA or MBA are advantageous but not mandatory; outstanding operational experience is most valued.
