Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Vice President to lead the global marketing and brand strategy for Immunic Therapeutics, focusing on launching vidofludimus calcium for relapsing multiple sclerosis (MS). The role demands a proven marketer who has managed a global MS product launch, adept at adapting messaging and positioning across U.S. and international markets. This leadership position will build the marketing department from inception to support the upcoming commercial launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the worldwide brand strategy and core positioning for vidofludimus calcium, ensuring consistency and adaptability across diverse markets.
  • Lead brand elements including naming, visual identity, working closely with agencies and internal teams.
  • Transform clinical and mechanism-of-action insights into compelling patient- and physician-focused brand stories.
  • Coordinate marketing contributions within integrated launch plans, preparing messaging and channels ahead of regulatory approvals.
  • Apply prior global MS launch insights like sequencing and market prioritization into the launch playbook.
  • Manage marketing budgets and partnership with finance and commercial leadership for launch investment.
  • Establish and expand the global marketing organization, including structure, hiring, and headcount planning.
  • Select and oversee external agencies in creative, media, digital, and market research to deliver launch-quality results.
  • Set scalable marketing governance and operating procedures from pre-launch to commercial readiness.
  • Lead healthcare provider marketing strategies encompassing scientific/promotional messaging, congress activities, and field support.
  • Drive patient and caregiver marketing and disease education, ensuring alignment with patient advocacy efforts.
  • Lead digital and omnichannel marketing strategies suitable for specialty/rare disease launches.
  • Direct global market research initiatives to guide positioning, messaging, and market priorities before and post-launch.
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Regulatory, and Legal teams to integrate marketing strategies into launch readiness.
  • Represent the global brand viewpoint in leadership meetings, balancing global consistency with local flexibility.
  • Work closely with international partners to adapt brand strategies outside the U.S., with a focus on complementarities in Germany.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Over 15 years of progressive marketing experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals, with key leadership in global brand marketing.
  • Experience spearheading global brand strategy and marketing through an MS therapy launch.
  • Demonstrated success in creating a marketing organization and brand strategy in advance of a first commercial launch.
  • Expertise managing multi-market brand positioning balancing global unity and local specificity.
  • Proven partnership with external agencies in creative, media, digital, and research domains.
  • Ability to translate scientific, clinical data into clear, differentiated brand messaging.
  • Joint working experience with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Patient Advocacy on integrated launches.
  • Skilled operating within agile, fast-paced pre-commercial biotech environments.
  • Willingness to travel 25-35% internationally and domestically.
  • Experience launching therapies with novel mechanisms or first-in-class profiles.
  • Established contacts in global MS clinical, scientific, and advocacy communities.
  • Experience across both U.S. and European commercial settings.
  • Knowledge of specialty/rare disease digital and omnichannel marketing techniques.
