Role Overview
This leadership position is part of Alcon's Manufacturing division, overseeing the design, production, and delivery of pioneering eyecare products to over 140 countries through a commitment to operational excellence and efficiency. As Vice President of Manufacturing Plant Management (Single Site), you will lead all manufacturing, engineering, and production activities at one facility. Building strong relationships, driving growth strategies, managing manufacturing procedures, sustaining quality standards, and ensuring economical production are key responsibilities. Strategic vision, industry expertise, and operational leadership are crucial to achieve excellence and drive company success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and strategically direct all plant teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, Repair & Maintenance, Production Planning & Control, Quality Assurance, Environmental and Employee Health & Safety, Materials Supply, Capacity Planning, and Manufacturing Science and Technology.
- Ensure plant activities align with overarching business goals and spearhead major strategic initiatives.
- Maintain a skilled workforce adhering to company values, laws, and regulatory standards.
- Formulate and execute growth strategies, production forecasting, and planning.
- Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations maintaining quality systems for cost efficiency.
- Oversee new product introductions, equipment validation, and continuous performance improvements.
- Administer the annual budget and champion Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Cultivate continuous improvement culture and coordinate efforts with other company facilities.
- Provide necessary tools to associates and establish compliance protocols.
- Monitor key performance indicators and make impactful decisions affecting the entire plant.
- Ensure full compliance with Good Practice (GxP) regulations through strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), accurate documentation, quality controls, and completing all mandatory training.
- Commit to ongoing regulatory compliance and process enhancements in all operations.

Every associate must follow Good Practice (GxP) standards by observing SOPs, maintaining precise and comprehensive documentation, and engaging in quality assurance activities alongside completing required training. Meeting individual responsibilities and contributing to organizational compliance is vital to our operational integrity.
