Beyond food distribution, the organization addresses the root causes of food insecurity through innovative strategies, workforce development, advocacy, and ensuring equitable access to food resources.
Maryland faces pressing challenges with food insecurity, worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, rising food costs, and reduced government support. Today, one in three residents experience hunger, underscoring the vital role of Maryland Food Bank in meeting these needs.
